It is so nice to see the sun out and actually feel some warmth. Our horrible winter and non-existent spring have been the main topic of conversation in the winery for the last few weeks. On a brighter note, the weather has to get better…..doesn’t it??
I have bottled my Coconut Yuzu Pinot Gris and it is delicious! The flavour is definitely coconut on the start, but it finishes with the lime and citrus notes of the yuzu. Balanced and no too sweet. It is great just chilled, but would be a great base for sangria or cocktails as well.
Pink Moscato!
Arriving June 3rd for a very limited time…Pink Moscato. It takes 4 weeks to make which still leaves a lot of time to enjoy it this summer! $149 to make in our winery and that includes the kit, processing fees, taxes, corks. labels, shrink caps and bottle washing. Bottles In The Dishwasher
Just a little housekeeping note…..we do not recommend putting your wine bottles in the dishwasher. Why? Detergent and food particles get shot up into the bottle and don’t always get rinsed out before the high heat blast of the drying cycle. So now, there is dried stuff on the inside of the bottle that is very difficult to get out and will affect the flavour of your wine. All your wine bottle needs is a good rinse with plain old hot water after you finish drinking it . Let them air dry upside down, then store them upside down in the boxes and then they are ready to go in our bottle washer.
Limited Editions
We have secured some extra of our last two Limited Edition wines…..California Trio Blanca & Italian Super Tuscan. They are 18 litre kits and take us 6 weeks to make. The Trio Blanca will be lovely summer sipping, while the Super Tuscan is a candidate for more ageing because of the grape skins added.

California Trio Blanca
This is a medium body triple blend from California of Chardonnay, Chenin Blanc & Muscat. Chardonnay gives apple and melon characteristics. Chenin Blanc gives citrus acidity and the Muscat blends it altogether with its “grapey” juicy flavours.
Italian Super Tuscan
Super Tuscan is a full bodied blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Sangiovese (Chianti) with notes of cherry, currant. There is a grape skin pack that comes with this wine which pumps up the body and tannins.
Wine Glass Writers
We have re-stocked this very popular product and we now have some new colour options as well. Write your name on your wine glass and never lose track of your wine! This ink dries quickly and washes off with a warm cloth and we found out, by mistake, that it comes off in the dishwasher as well. Another great use for them is to write the bottling date on your wine bottle, to help rotate your stock. Karen uses them to write notes on mirrors for her family members as well. $10.99 for a package of 3.
