Time flies when you are having fun!!  When George & Penny opened the doors on their new micro-winery in August 2004, we were called Wine Not and they had no idea of where their journey was going to take them.  There were no rules from the government back then and George informed, challenged and pushed the powers-that-be to make our business legal and available to consumers in New Brunswick.

We have made hundreds of thousands of bottles of wine in the last nine years and met lots of fabulous people who share our love for affordable, but quality wine.  We have got a fantastic sale that will run for the whole month of August to celebrate our birthday and get us all to stock up on wine for Christmas.  I know, I know…I said the “C” word, but in the wine world, now is the time to make wine for Christmas so that it has time to age in the bottles.

Italian Wine Facts

• Our biggest selling white wine in our winery is Italian Pinot Grigio.  This crisp, light and dry white wine is a great social wine, but pairs nicely with food as well.
• Tuscany can be described as the pin-up queen of Italian wine regions…check out the lovely pic below.  It’s beautiful scenery boasts some of the best red wines from Italy, including Sangiovese, Montepulciano and Brunello.
• Italy is the largest wine producing country in the world.
• There are over 2000 different grape varieties being grown in Italy.
• Italians also consume the most wine in the world…on average 54 litres per person per year. No wonder they are so happy!
