September is well on it’s way and it is somewhat comforting to get back into routines and schedules. I have listed an example of our timing below…if you make your wine this week, these dates are when they will be ready to bottle. Don’t shoot the messenger, but we all go through more wine over the holidays…socializing, family dinners and gift giving.
- If you make a 4-week wine kit the week of September 14, it will be ready to bottle the week of October 20
- If you make a 5-week wine kit the week of September 14, it will be ready to bottle the week of October 27
- If you make a 6-week wine kit the week of September 14, it will be ready to bottle the week of November 3
- If you make an 8-week wine kit the week of September 14, it will be ready to bottle the week of November 17
So a 6 or 8-week wine kit really needs to be made now to show any of its true potential by Christmas! I will post the Christmas deadlines next month…
