As the never-ending winter continues and my red wine stock depletes, we are looking forward to summer.  We have some summer wines that will be arriving in the middle of this month that will hopefully heat things up.  We also have some fun new gifty ideas in stock.

Summer Wines

The fantastic Australian Grenache Rosé is going to be available again this year.  When I mention this wine to people they reaction is usually a grimace and a comment about how much they dislike rosé wines.  This is not a sweety lollipop White Zinfandel…it is a lovely crisp just off-dry wine that is lovely on its own, but also pairs beautifully with almost all barbequed food and spicier dishes.

$185.00 to make in our winery (and that includes the kit, processing fees, taxes, labels, corks, shrink caps, washing and sanitizing your bottles.

Let us know if you want us to hold one for you. Call or e-mail to be added to our list

Hard Pink Lemonade & Hard Limeade will only be available for a limited time and we ran out last year!

$129 when you make in our winery and that includes the kit, processing fees, taxes, labels, shrink caps, corks, bottle washing and sanitizing.

We expect them in stock by March 25th.  If you would like to order one to make sure you get one, call or e-mail us

Sip on Sunshine…NEW Island Mist Flavour Coconut Yuzu Pinot Gris

My first thought was what the heck is a Yuzu??  Apparently the flavour is cross between a lemon, mandarin and grapefruit.  Can’t wait for this one to come in!

This is going to be a permanent listing, so don’t worry, be happy it will be in stock on or about March 11th

$129 when you make in our winery and that includes the kit, processing fees, taxes, labels, shrink caps, corks, bottle washing and sanitizing.

Limited Editions

The March Limited Edition Trio Blanca will be arriving in store tomorrow, and we will be e-mailing all those who pre-ordered them last fall.  I have a few spares, so call or e-mail us if you are interested in making this beauty.

March – Trio Blanca, California

REGION: Lake County, California

Northern California has some of the oldest vineyards on the west coast, with Spanish Missionaries planting back in the 18th century.  Today, the sunny rolling hills of the Lake County are moderated by the cool waters of Clear Lake, the oldest lake in North America.  With all of this history, the land is ideally suited for growing a variety of grapes.

WINE: The three grapes that make up this blend are distinct characters indeed.  Chardonnay is the popular and adaptable friend with apple and melon characteristics.  Chenin Blanc reflects the soil well in its chalk and citrus aromatics, while its acidity anchors its structure down on the palate.  Finally, lady Muscat with her wildly perfumed nose and distinctive “grapey” flavour gives the blend a refreshingly fun and juicy addition.

This wine is sip-worthy on its own, but will also pair well with fuller white meats such as roasted turkey or duck, and exotic flavours like curries and south-Asian cuisine.

SWEETNESS: Dry         BODY: Medium         ALCOHOL: 13.5%*
